So, since 2023, OPAY POS Machines are no longer free. To acquire an OPay POS machine, you must purchase one at the specified price point. However, you should know that POS machines price will varies depending on their types and features.

The Mini POS is labelled a price of ₦10,000, the Smart (Android) POS is priced at ₦60,000, and the Traditional POS cost around ₦45,000. Additionally, there is a caution fee of at least ₦20,000 that must be retained in the OPay Wallet when applying for a POS machine.

In a nutshell, while there was free OPay POS terminals in the past, the agency banking company is no longer offering its POS terminal on caution policy. This means you need to purchase the payment terminal outrightly and bare any further damages that happen to the machine yourself.
