Check Account Balance via USSD
This is the easiest method to check bank account balance in Nigeria. Almost all commercial banks in Nigeria give their customers access to USSD banking, To check your UBA Account balance using the bank's 919 code, make sure you've activated the USSD banking for your account.
If you've not activate USSD banking for your UBA Account, you'll not be able to check your account balance using this method. To activate USSD code for your account, dial *919# on your registered phone number, follow the prompts and use your ATM Card to activate the USSD banking.
Once the service has been activated, then you can check your account by dialing *919*00# on your registered phone and your balance will be displayed to your screen immediately.
Check Account Balance via Mobile App
The UBA Mobile Banking App is the easiest method to check account without costing any fee. Unlike USSD banking that'll charge N10 for checking account balance, the mobile banking app doesn't charge any fee. If you already have the UBA mobile app, just login to your account using your User ID and Password then your account balance will be the first thing to see in your dashboard.
On the other hand, if you've not activated the mobile banking for your UBA Account, you can do that simply by downloading the UBA Mobile App on Google Play Store or Apple App Store if you're an iPhone user. Open the app and register new account and device. Enter your account number and use your ATM Card to activate the mobile banking experience.
You can also receive verification code on your UBA registered phone number if you don't have ATM Card for the activation. Either ways, once the UBA mobile app is activated, you can login to your account as much as you desire to check your account balance without interruptions and additional fees.
However, if none of the activation methods work for you, then you have to visit the UBA bank near you to get your mobile banking activated.
Check Account Balance Online
Like UBA Mobile Banking App, if you've already enabled E-banking for your UBA Account, then you can simply login to your account at ibank.ubagroup.com/ to check your account balance. However, if you've not activated the online banking for your account, then you'll need to visit any UBA bank near you to get it enabled.
Check Account Balance via Social Banking (LEO)
UBA Leo is an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot developed by United Bank for Africa (UBA) to provide banking services through chat platforms like Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram. Leo is designed to be an interactive, easy-to-use, and fun banking solution.
With LEO, you can conveniently manage your finances by opening bank accounts, checking your account balances, viewing mini statements, sending money to UBA accounts, UBA prepaid cards, and other banks, buying airtime, paying bills, performing mobile money transactions, setting savings and spending limits, linking accounts, linking and funding prepaid cards, and accessing customer service along with other essential banking services.
However, to check your account balance with LEO, make sure you've activate social banking for your UBA account. If you've not activate LEO, then search for UBA Leo on Instagram, Facebook and Messenger and confirm the mobile number linked with your account to activate the service. For WhatsApp user, you need to message LEO with the number that's registered with your UBA Account otherwise, the service will not be activated for your account.
Once you successfully activate LEO, you'll see some list of services the chatbot can provide. Choose check account balance and the chatbot will prompt your to confirm your PIN via web and once that's done, your account balance will be displayed without any additional fee.
