With that being said, OPAY virtual cards are designed for users to facilitate any online transactions on any merchant's website or webstore where Nigerian-Naira is denominated. The OPAY virtual card is primarily designed for local transactions in Nigerian Naira and is not suitable for international online transactions. This is mainly because the card is issued as a Verve card, which is only accepted within Nigeria and cannot be used for payments in foreign currencies like USD. Additionally, many international merchants do not accept Verve cards, further restricting its use for global shopping.

Despite these limitations, the OPAY virtual card is still useful for various purposes within Nigeria. It can be used to make online purchases on Nigerian websites that accept Naira payments, subscribe to local services, and verify accounts on platforms that accept local cards. However, for international transactions, other card options like Visa or MasterCard would be more appropriate.
