However, both the CBN and OPAY have officially denied these claims. The CBN's Acting Director of Corporate Communications confirmed that the reports are fake, urging the public to disregard such misinformation.

In a nutshell, OPay is not shutting down any time soon and the mobile money app has also reassured its customers that their funds are secure and that the company continues to operate normally.
