Sort and NIBSS code

OPay is a fintech company in Nigeria offering financial services like a mobile money operator (MMO). It is not an international money transfer (IMT) bank and cannot receive wire transfers from abroad unless it use a third-party IMT partner. Here's how to receive dollar from abroad into your OPay wallet.

Banks have sort codes to identify the bank and branch for fund transfers, but fintech apps like OPay, PalmPay, Kuda Bank, and Chipper Cash do not have these sort codes since they operate solely within Nigeria and do not offer international payment services. Here's PalmPay's NIBSS Code.

However, they do have a NIBSS code that function exactly like a sort code. The OPay NIBSS (Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System) code is 999992. This code is used for inter-bank transactions and for linking OPay accounts to other banks or financial services in Nigeria.

So in summary, OPay does not have a sort code, SWIFT code, IBAN number, BIC code or routing number, as it is not set up to receive international transfers. OPay only have a NIBSS code 999992 which is used for electronic transfers and account validation between traditional banks in Nigeria.
