Binance

The Binance’s crypto infrastructure which the company integrated into mobile money in west and central Africa is allowing crypto investors and traders in the regions to buy digital assets directly through their mobile money wallets or platforms.

Supported countries includes Benin, Togo, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Senegal, and Ivory Coast. Meanwhile, we can say that the situation which Binance is currently going through in Nigeria is one of the major issues the country is not included in the list of supported countries.

Recall, one of Binance’s top executives is still being detained in Nigeria’s prison with the charges of money laundering and manipulation of naira. Nigeria is the largest crypto market in Africa and the integration of crypto system into mobile money comes when Binance is facing a crisis in the country.

However, it’s important to note that this Binance’s integration of crypto system into mobile money in west and central Africa regions is only supporting “BUY” transactions of cryptos.

Binance, through spokeswoman Samantha Fuller, emphasized it commitment on focusing on advancing financial inclusion and providing user-friendly solutions for crypto adoption across Africa.

“We remain focused on advancing financial inclusion and delivering user-friendly solutions for crypto adoption across Africa. This expansion into West and Central Africa is a significant step in our mission to increase crypto adoption, providing millions of people with more direct access to the global digital economy,” Samantha Fuller, Spokeswoman for Binance says.
